The Neighbourhood Guide to Perth

The Neighbourhood Guide to Perth showcases creative & locally owned businesses across the city, each with a discount.

I designed the book in a happy & colourful theme, showcasing lots of local artwork throughout the pages. The top right corners of all business pages included a perforation effect, so that the corners could be used as coupon vouchers. This had a positive impact on the usability of the guidebook, as it made it easy for readers to keep track of where they have and haven’t been.

Furthermore, I also added tabs on the right-hand side of the pages, with different heights for northern and southern neighbourhoods. The tabs themselves carried the name of the explicit neighbourhood of the business location. This prevented readers from getting geographically lost, which often happens with guidebooks.
